Privacy Policy


The CDT in Intelligent Sensing and Measurement (CDT-ISM) is based in the University of Glasgow and the University of Edinburgh. Throughout this statement, any information held by the CDT will be also be held either/and in the University of Glasgow and the University of Edinburgh.

The CDT-ISM takes your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy.

This privacy policy covers the CDT-ISM's treatment of personal information that the CDT-ISM collects.

The information requested on expressing interest with the CDT-ISM will be your name and email address. Additional information will be requested if you decide to apply, and the CDT-ISM will use the information collected to process your application. If you are offered and accept a place with the CDT-ISM the CDT-ISM will collect further information that will be used to process your degree.  The CDT-ISM will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

The CDT-ISM will respond to any Court Order or legitimate request by authorities for personal information, with which they must comply or in connection with any legal process.

You may request amendment or deletion of your details at any time by  contacting us, clearly stating your name, address and email identifier. There are some circumstances in which the right to erasure does not apply, and each request will be considered individually by the CDT-ISM, the University of Glasgow and the University of Edinburgh, as appropriate.

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their job.

The CDT-ISM may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our pages.

We reserve the right to utilise third party suppliers/services to supplement our charitable services. We ensure that all third party suppliers meet strict security and privacy standards that are inline with our own policies.
